The beach access is fantastic and the staff is friendly, making for a pleasant stay. The bathroom was small and lacked shelving for toiletries. Would recommend for the location.

The staff are super friendly and greet you like a long-lost friend. With direct access to the beach and private parking, you can dive into fun without wasting time.
Housekeeping was non-existent if you stayed less than a week.

This place is right by the beach, allowing me to explore beautiful Emerald Isle Beach in just a short walk of about 500 meters, and I loved that I could dash back to my room for extra supplies easily; while the pool area was nice with semi-private seating and a bar, the only downside was that the rooms were a bit more motel-like and could use some sprucing up.

Chris at the front desk made us feel right at home with his friendly smile and helpful tips. Our room was super comfy and perfectly located for shopping and restaurants. The beach access was a total game changer for soaking up the sun and splashing around!

The room was clean and spacious, with decent beds for a comfortable night's sleep. The oceanfront view from the balcony was stunning, allowing easy access to the beach, which was just a short walk away. the shower and toilet area felt cramped. I noticed some mildew on the bed skirt, which was disappointing. No daily housekeeping or fresh linens added to the inconvenience, and the absence of breakfast options was surprising. Still, for the price, the location and sea view were exceptional, although the overall experience felt lacking in some expected amenities.

The room had a lovely balcony with views through palm fronds to the ocean, and the comfy bed promised a good night's sleep. A fridge was handy for my cousin’s girl dinner visit, and parking was a breeze. the bathroom was tiny; the setup felt cramped without proper cabinets. We had issues with the TV and air conditioning, but staff were quick to help. A beautiful beach was just a minute away, perfect for off-season serenity, but the place doesn’t match resort expectations.

Close to the beach and had a nice pool bar. Room maintenance was lacking; we found sand in the sheets and the TV didn't work well. Great for families with kids, but parking is limited. Best to call ahead for any requests.

I was really disappointed with the room. It was clean, sure, but the uncomfortable, lumpy beds made it hard to sleep. Plus, there were roaches! I don’t expect to deal with bugs, especially not multiple times in a two-night stay.

Islander Hotel & Resort offers a fantastic location with stunning views and easy beach access. The staff, especially Sam at the front desk, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Despite minor issues like slow elevators and noise, the cleanliness and service make it a recommendable destination.

My friends and I had a blast at Star Hill Golf Club, hitting balls like pros! The nearby aquarium was lit, saw some funky sea creatures! Hotel's right by entertainment spots, so vibing all day was easy!
Needed a beach bonfire spot for those late-night gatherings! .

Beautiful cupcakes and a birthday banner for my son? Exceptional. The staff truly outdid themselves. Spectacular room views and comfortable accommodations reinforced why we love this resort. for nearly $400 a night, the lack of daily housekeeping was unexpected. We found sand in our beds and had to manage our own trash, a bit disappointing for the price point. Not to mention the initial check-in confusion. Our oceanfront room was lovely, yet cleanliness left something to be desired with stained linens and lingering smoke scents. Ideal location with nearby shopping and dining, but consistent maintenance is essential for a truly memorable experience. Needed improvements shouldn’t overshadow the kindness of the staff.

Had an amazing Easter weekend by the beach , it was just a few steps away and near shops and great food spots. The staff was fantastic, especially during a little incident that happened. Plus, they had beach chairs to borrow, which was a lifesaver!
Not everything was perfect. The AC was a bit loud and the room felt a tad humid, but they had a dehumidifier that helped.

The heating and air conditioning in my room were a bit of a mixed bag. While the room did have a heater and aircon, they were a bit noisy and didn't seem to cool or heat the room evenly. It was a bit of a hassle to get the temperature just right. I was pleasantly surprised to find tea and coffee facilities in the room, but unfortunately, the coffee in the lobby was often cold and had grounds in it. It would have been nice to have a better coffee experience during my stay. The sitting area in the room was comfortable, but I did notice some soiling on the room sofa, which was a bit off-putting. the lack of a designated sitting area outside the room was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the room did come with free toiletries, which was a nice touch. I did notice that the daily routine for requesting replacements like towels or trash bags was a bit cumbersome. It would have been more convenient to have these items delivered to the room daily. The Islander had its pros and cons. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which was a definite plus. But there were several areas that could use improvement, like the temperature control in the room and the coffee quality. Despite these issues, the beautiful, clean beach just a minute away made up for some of the shortcomings. Hope this review helps you get a better sense of what to expect at the Islander!

stayed at the islander hotel & resort and it was great! everything i wanted to do was right there. the other guests were fantastic and it was nice to just watch people have fun. the room was adorable. loved the shower. calm colors. front desk folks were so kind and accommodating.

hey friends - Islander hotel & resort was awesome! the room was clean - right on the beach facing the atlantic! we enjoyed the local insights and even got a list of nearby restaurants from the friendly staff at check-in. and guess what? they offered family-friendly events! also, they provided snacks and called us when it was ready. would definitely recommend.

The Star Hill Golf Club also provided a fun and relaxing activity for both parents and kids with stunning views of the greenery.
For dads, it would be great to have more kid-friendly dining options nearby.

Chose hotel for location near Western Park and was pleasantly surprised by free in-room WiFi. Loved sipping a cocktail at the pool bar with a stunning ocean view.

Had an amazing Easter break at a beachside gem! The location was unbeatable, just a stone's throw from the ocean and within walking distance of charming shops and tasty dining spots. Our room featured a fantastic balcony ideal for savoring the sea breeze. The staff was top-notch - accommodating our needs with beach chairs even after hours for memorable family moments. Kudos to Ally for going above and beyond!
On the flip side, the room temperature was a bit challenging, with heat seeping from the ceiling. It made sleeping uncomfortable, especially for those far from the AC unit.

I indulged in the pool, the beach was my catwalk, and my balcony overlooked the riveting street view. I borrowed bikes and roamed nature. The hotel's near golf and offered cozy spaces and lush surroundings.
Deceptive pricing and a questionable fan-dehumidifier combo made for a lovely lullaby.

Our stay at this beachfront hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make my son's birthday special, with a personalized banner and delicious cupcakes. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered breathtaking views. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach and a lifeguard station nearby for added safety. Check-in was a breeze, and the internet access was fast. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation.
The air conditioning in our room didn't work properly, making it uncomfortably hot unless you were right next to the unit.
